OFI members are regarded highly in the industry as reliable business partners. While OFI is a trade association and not a quality assurance scheme, dealing with OFI members provides you with the safety of dealing with industry members of very good reputation. Members of OFI are committed to adhere to the OFI Charter that outlines ethical and sustainability ‘Best Practices’ that members must abide by. OFI members from all over the world can also maintain contact to exchange ideas, information and even possible supply chain partners.This cooperation is strongly supported by OFI at international trade shows, conferences, online events etc. wherever possible.

Apart from members communication and business, we are actively advocating for the industry. OFI lobby various government, inter government and non-government organisations throughout the world on behalf of all members. This includes having an EU Affairs Officer who actively works within the EU arena - in particular by liaising with the EU authorities - who are a key player in amending existing legislations or developing new ones that can affect our industry around the world. We also represent the industry at CITES, and have regular meetings with fisheries and aquaculture government bodies in important export countries to help import/export issues, health certificates etc. Where possible, OFI also works closely with other like-minded trade associations in their work to support the industry.

Platinum Member (Sector Leadership)

Platinum Membership is reserved for OFI’s highest-level supporters — individuals, companies, and institutions who show exceptional commitment to the global aquarium industry and to OFI’s mission. Members in this tier are recognised as Key Opinion Leaders shaping the future of our sector.

Platinum Membership is open to individuals or organisations who are active in, or deeply invested in, the continued growth, sustainability, and global reputation of the aquarium trade.

Members may select their contribution amount (minimum €2,500 per year), with higher contributions welcomed in support of expanded advocacy and industry development.

Gold Member

Gold membership is open to any traders or individual's in the industry and is considered to be a full membership. This membership level maintains the same status as the 'old' OFI membership.

All gold members are entitled to:

o Membership Certificate

o You company's full details are listed in our members directory

o You can advertise across our platforms (banner adds, OFI Journal, Social media) at 50% discount of the full rates

o You have access to member only events like the AGM and social events at tradeshows etc.

o Up to 50% discounts to attend OFI events such as webinars and trade events

o You will receive OFI publications for free, and have access to our electronic library Gold Membership is €735 per year, with discounts available for members from developing countries

Silver Member

Silver membership is open to any traders that do not import or export (i.e. do not trade internationally), to provide a lite version for smaller traders wanting to participate in, and support OFI in its work in defending the industry. Silver Members will need to provide proof of business address activity etc. by completing the membership form.

All Silver Members are entitled to:

o Membership Certificate

o Your company name is listed in our members Directory

o You care eligible for a 25% discount for advertising on OFI platforms and to attend OFI events

o You have free access to e-versions of books, journals via website only. You will receive a 25% discount on printed copies of journals and books

o Not eligible to be office holders (i.e. Executive Board members)

o Silver Membership is €300 per year, no discounts are given.

OFI Subscriber

Open for all individuals with an interest in the industry, this is a subscription service only to provide subscribers access to e-versions of the OFI Journal the via website paywall only.

As an OFI subscriber, there are no membership rights, no voting rights or provision of additional services.

Subscribers will have access to current and past editions of the OFI Journals for 12 months. Stay up to date with what is happening in the aquarium industry!

The annual subscription rate is €39.95, but is discounted to an introductory rate of €29.95

Subscriber - €29.95 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) The OFI Subscriber Service gives access to electronic copies of our flagship publication the OFI Journal. This is an annual subscription and entitles you to view all published e-journals via our website. Please note that subscribers are not entitled to OFI member privileges or services
